It’s is my pleasure to announce that our working team, at the Folk Flute Academy Finland, has been awarded a grant by the Alfred Kordelin Foundation.
This time around it was Mimmi Laaksonen that successfully led our team, in securing the full support of this important Finnish institution.
The foundation’s grant will allow for a more focused dedication of the team members, and allow for the organizing of the Folk Flute Academy Finland’s first-ever event (as soon as Covid-19 restriction will allow).
At the same time, the Alfred Kordelin Foundation is supporting directly the Woodwind Research Lab., by allowing the buying of special tools and raw materials to develop Flute prototypes.
The support of cultural institutions is paramount to the promotion of the Folk music field. The Alfred Kordelin Foundation is one of the several shining examples of this support in Finland.
